Even "plywood" products are just plywood-imitation printed MDF at best, at worst it's cardboard. Ikea is usually the absolute cheapest shit you can get, obviously it's gonna be crap. Even factory reject polish furniture that doesn't fit together is usually more expensive than Ikea.

Everything is low quality these days, with furniture you have to make it yourself or buy vintage. Or spend thousands for someone else to handmake it.

Even the expensive designer brands are absolute shit.

Hire a carpenter, buy vintage, or be a carpenter. Only choices.

More like the government and it's consequences. Most normies don't realize just how much politics are fucking things up. The housing market is because of them. Unemployment is because of them. Muh "programmed obsolescence" is because of them.

But of course the typical 4chan midwit who says "lolbertarians" would never get it.

If a question is simple enough to google, it's better to google it and see multiple sources. If it's too complicated to google and get an answer, chatGPT will make it up.

How does inflation by the central bank result in "focus on volume over durability"? That's some fucking chatGPT logic.

This, the entire concept behind IKEA is cheap furniture. Company was founded during the boomer housing boom when millions of people built and purchased their own houses throughout the West and needed cheap stuff quickly that they could assemble themselves. They have some more expensive options that are completely fine but don't expect high quality.

it's funny being called stupid by a 4chan midwit

prices are rising and wages are not, obviously. but there's also bust cycles with this system, and it's not like this is not the same way during the bust cycles. plus some people, such as those on welfare, government workers, or those getting credits, also have higher disposable income from the inflation.

i think it's more that wagies can't afford anything better due to high taxes and housing prices

Everyone just wants to instinctively buy the cheapest shit and then complain that its low quality and doesnโ€™t last.
