Conspiracy theories used to be more comfy and quirky before, they were rare and interesting to read/listen to. Their adherents were far and few in-between but they were often fun and quirky, often showing great signs of creativity in connecting what seems too be unrelated things together and in how they presented their proof and you had to go to certain forums or places to read up on them.
Now everything is some kind of a conspiracy theory and they're pretty much everywhere in both social media and traditional media. Their adherents are always low-key aggressive, frustrated and always changing their conspiracy theories to fit any current trend.
What a shame.
