Is the anonymous voting at the core of the problems with democracy? Fringe factions can project themselves as more popular than they really are and push everybody over the cliff.

If you can not defend your ideas maybe you shouldn't be participating in a democracy?

no, the real problem is our representatives do not have a secret vote
aipac shills can therefore verify if their goy voted the "correct way"
give reps a secret vote and lobbies lose their power over our elected reps
