Canada's military only exists so they can say they have a military. Canada (And the rest of the West) depend on the US for their defense and sovereignty. This has been the case for the past 80 years. When the US collapses, the other western block countries will have to race to build-up their militaries as a deterrence against Russia/China. Why haven't they been doing this for the past 20 years when it became apparent that the US Empire is falling? No idea.
