It seems to me that the word sex was invented to legitimize fornication by giving it a different word that doesn't carry the same taboo associated with the word fornication.

In the very same way, the word gay in association with sodomy is used to present sodomy as morally neutral and later even moral and celebrated by society.

Now days they call pedophiles 'minor attracted persons' so you can see where this is going...
