Why would that even be the case. By condemning sex with minors over the age of 14 implies that going below that age is even more severe. In many states sexual crimes against minors are divided this way. It's the difference between lewd and lascivious acts against a minor under 14 and statuatory rape. This makes it clear which is the more serious offense. A sexual encounter can contain multiple felonies for someone under 14 where I don't think it does as much if they are simply a minor. Releasing the files means that we're staying consistent to principles set out in law regardless of the position or status of the alleged perpetrator. Even if there were some kind of war among sexual predators with homosexual pedophiles and heterosexual diddlers release of the files simply means anyone will be tried for crimes against minors. They both lose.
