i have told this true story here before, so i will tell it again:
in 2008/2009 i was on my bike (motorcycle)
and with some other riders i randomly met on the street riding. this was about 3am in the morning.
the other riders started revving their bikes when we pulled over by the ocean to take a break from riding..
i did not rev my engine.
this guy in a van who was sleeping in his van, gets out with a knife and a bum from across the street was coming towards us with a 2x4.
i pulled my gun with my helmet still on my head and told the guy with the knife to stop.
he kept coming, he almost crossed my imaginary line of when i was going to drill his ass.
i guess his brain did not register that i had him at gun point with a Glock 26.
thankfully he stopped and i was able to the side and behind the guy with the 2x4 while keeping them both held down.
(the other riders took off on their bikes as soon as they saw me pull my gun on this guy with the knife.
so now it is me against two guys with weapons and a helmet on my head.
with my free hand i called the police on speaker phone while still keeping them at gun point.
cops show up, put me in cuffs, put the knife in cuffs and the other guy took off running into a back alley.
knife was laying in the middle of the road where i made the guy drop it.
cops question me, question stabby mcstabber, and some witnesses.
they uncuff me and and hand me my gun back. they lock stabby up.
come to find out he was a hard working plumber and had never been arrested and was angry he was woken up by something i had nothing to do with..
the cops come to me and ask, "why did you not shoot him"?
that guy will never knkw how close he came to death that day, and the cops were kind of bending my ear about not shooting him, and i said "i did not want to kill him".
but i could have, i am in Florida, and i would have been justified in doing it.
thankfully it did not come to that.
