anonymity and the proliferation of ideas
Just now on LinkedIn, I saw a post about Windows 11 and how the lack of support will render Windows 10 machines no longer viable. The discussion covered Linux, patches, and how these legacy machines could be donated to people in developing countries.
My first impulse was to sarcastically reply something about "that's exactly what we need, more third worlders shitting up the internet." That is, until I remembered that HR Karens and the entire world of professionalism would likely not take kindly to such sentiments, and since my account has my real fucking name, I would undoubtedly be blacklisted from every single company from now until the end of time.
Treasure what we have here, anons. It's as good as it will ever get.

I have to cope with the fact I gave away all my ideas and my influence will never really be known

Theres an episode of Beavis and Butthead where they make an announcement to an auditorium of politicians over the PA about wanting to score. All the politicians laugh like beavis and butthead. I like to think everyone’s just pretending to be PC, but deep down they’re Anons.

Bruh just make a fake account.
Take a laptop you don't care about to the next city and use public wifi to make a LinkedIn account with AI photos, then drop comments until they ban you, then shitcan the laptop and go home.
Drill out the webcam so they can't see you.
LinkedIn and all social media is a cancer on this earth. I understand if you need to use it for your job, but fuck me stop being afraid of this system.
It's all pajeetcoded crap.

Thanks for your blog post, unironically, anonymity appreciator.

For a practical advice, I suggest whenever you feel like self censoring, you instead post a total off topic link to a research showing that anonymous surveys show the most accurate results regarding controversial topics, such as peer job performance evaluation. Or some story about how the IETF wanted for IPv6 to provide for anonymity and could it be the reason behind its low adoption rates.
