Huge Geo-political shift in Asia.

This will blow out all the American effort in Asia to unite countries against China. Especially, India, Australia, Japan and Korean effort to contain China.
This will also impact Myanmar mission of the US where it plans to balkanize it.

I wonder if China will pay back India by recognizing Kashmir as Indian state and betray Pakistan.

"Taiwan is part of China" is what all US foreign offices have to say in any meeting with China since like 1972.
Rubio is saying now. And every US Sec of State before him had to say the same thing.
The statement does not say that Taiwan belongs to the Communist Party of China, just to the country of China, which could mean either PRC or ROC.

this isn't a shift, this is literally the policy of every single country that has diplomacy with the PRC including the USA.
that said, knowing Taiwanese people the public opinion is actually shifting in favor of China because it's clear the USA is no longer a dependable partner and even if they win an independence war with China their country will become a bombed out shithole that will be invaded by infinity mainlanders.
I think some kind of Finlandization+ status of Taiwan is the most likely outcome. Come to an agreement with China for high autonomy, can maintain its own defense force and political institutions but not an independent foreign policy (increasingly irrelevant anyways since very few countries recognize Taiwan anymore). Minimal basing rights for mainland forces (likely just ship support). De jure part of China but de facto independent within China.

We officially say that too. It doesn't stop Americans from lying and warmongering regardless.

US maintains ambiguity on Taiwanese issue. Jeets did the same, until now.

Also US is bankrolling Pakistan and it aims to reduce and eliminate all Chinese influence and AID on it.
