I am a late gen x'er and couldn't stand my own age cohort or any of the millennial generation. I remember them in college 25 years ago, constantly partying, getting so drunk that some of them died from alcohol poisoning on my campus, and just being total hedonists. Nothing more elevated going on in their heads.
What we need is a return to old fashion elitism, where the thinking class (the priests) and the warrior class (the nobles) team up to oppress the mindless hedonistic masses who possess what Aristotle called the "slave nature."

It's true the boomers got a lot of advantages and hedonistic pleasures, and I would think most people in other generations wish they had the same, since most people are lowly hedonists and lack the higher nature of the warrior and priestly classes, but frankly, what the boomers got is, objectively, nothing to be desired. It's best to have both material comforts and spiritual enlightenment, but if only one can be had in a life, then those loftier things are much to be preferred. Basically, normies were pretty much fine in premodern, say, pre-1800 societies led by intellectuals and fighters. Sure, they were always dim and obnoxious to their betters, but they were not possessed of an existential void and living without purpose. The higher values inculcated by their natural superiors made the lives of all the people meaningful and, so, those premodern societies were happier than we are today, because the natural order of things was still in place, still reflected in the structure and nature of society.
