Even 2008, in the grand scheme of things, was a tolerable loss. In 2020 when the market bombed in response to Covid, I just turned off my notifications and stopped checking my stocks altogether.
It took 9 months or something, but they came back up and now it's like it never happened.
Unless you're on the brink of retirement, just accept that the market plummets every once in a while. Don't do something stupid like sell when you're down.
And for God's sake right at the start of the AI revolution, please don't pull out and miss all of the upside potential. If you want to reduce your exposure, put it in bitcoin or gold.
If you are willing to accept a little risk, just ride that shit out. Pretend you never had the money in the first place.

Not to mention the UST wants to refinance a bunch of long term debt into short term bills/notes at a lower interest rate.
