Both kids as young as 10 and grown men as old as 40+ are staying awake for days at a time just to keep playing a game while they talk to their “friends” online.

What makes it worse is that there are no positive socialization options available to these guys. The only other thing to do all night is drink at a bar or a club—and that costs a lot of money which most younger guys don’t have.
Point being:
They feel like there’s nothing else to do, and truthfully, the way I see it, they’re kinda right.

Despite the age difference, they all have one thing in common; a severe lack of socialization in their daily lives.

ALL of the gamers who I’ve met have issues with socializing—either they have trouble making friends or finding a girlfriend, or they have friends and choose not to (the former is much more common).
Also, they do not go outside often, and they rarely make new acquaintances in their daily lives (talking to people in public). In the rare case that they’re married or with a long-term girlfriend, their women are almost invariably bothered by their gaming.

TL;DR – I see gaming addiction as a part of a larger problem. Video games just happen to be in the right place at the right time, and they’re extremely popular with the aforementioned type of males.

I’ve thought about the implications of a long-term internet blackout and talked about it with my friends a lot. Every time it comes up I arrive at the same conclusion and opinion:

Within 12 months of an internet blackout, people would begin socializing normally again.

Teens would hang out with each other—like I did at that age—instead of blankly staring into their smartphones and tablets.

Millennials and older Zoomers would go out and socialize in public spaces again; they’d go to bars, parks, movies, etc. in order to fill the gap that social media left. Women would have no choice but to date only the men nearby who they know—instead of hooking up with random guys who live 50 miles away.

Young adult women would get interested in becoming mothers again—as is their natural instinct. They’d also start picking up proper feminine hobbies like sewing, crafting, and making useful things for their families and community.

Young men would also get real hobbies. They’d start learning new skills like making and fixing things, and adopt proper men’s hobbies—and learn how to do things that’d help themselves and their community.

Because socializing would be important to people again, everyone would be doing different things to be helpful and interesting to others—thus increasing their social worth and helping their fellow man.

So / TL;DR...
If there were a total and indefinite internet blackout, the world would likely go back to what it was before the advent of the smartphone.

I’d argue that it’s not sie jooz, but the RICH in general. Wealthy politicians and the ruling elite—be they Jewish, Black, White, Eastern, Asian, Female, etc.—have changed the world in a way that it is impossible for the average working man to have the basic comforts of life.

Even owning a trailer home in a trailer park—which used to be considered a place for failures to live—is now so expensive in some states that even a hard-working wage slave cannot afford one. When I moved here in 07 at age 19, a trailer home cost about $50K, and a 15y mortgage on it was maybe 3%. Real houses cost ≥$350K. Now that same trailer is $200K and the mortgage is at 7%. A halfway decent apartment was $500/mo, and now it’s $2000.

I used to go on dates two nights a week for about 10y between 2005 and 2015 (ages 17 to 27). A restaurant date with movie cost me around $50 if I did it right; now it costs well over $200.

Cars: Years ago I had decent used European cars. None of them cost me more than ~$10K—which was only about 30% of my income—because I bought smart, and the payments were totally doable. Nowadays you can’t even find used cars that’ll fit an average working man’s budget, and a new car averages $50,000

True, but not proportionally enough to cover these expenses. The average wage in America BARELY covers the cost of: mortgage/rent, property taxes, car expenses, food, streaming subscriptions at ~$15/mo; bills for electricity, gas, internet, water, etc.

..your average 9-to-5 worker simply can't afford to live alone with the usual modern comforts, so millions of men stay home and play video games because the stuff you need to have REAL fun—and to attract proper women—is just too expensive.
