Politics is the realm of maladjusted freaks and losers. Homosexuals fall into the first and often the second category.
Psychologically healthy people usually don’t get overly invested in politics. If they do it’s on the local level where they actually have some real impact and see a return on their time invested.
Everyone remembers growing up there would be “that gay kid” in grade school who nobody liked. They were the teachers pet. They were tattle tales. They were always to one to remind the teacher when she forgot to assign homework. Those are the types that get involved in politics.
