I don't understand why Israel doesn't just let aid groups flood the place with food? What is the problem? All the accusations of starvation would go away and Hamas would lose whatever leverage it had from controlling the limited food in the strip.

If Hamas is "stealing" the little food that's getting in, then they're still getting food for themselves regardless of how little there is to go around. It's the civilians who are starving.
