I've been thinking of doing it.
I don't expect it to go well, I have gaps at this point that are probably enough for a company to legitimately reject me, but my career started out well before I couldn't get beyond the 60k ceiling in the early 2010's, then seemed like nothing would hire in terms of large companies so I basically only started applying at small or mid sized ones.

Be careful what you wish for, because corporate america already believes this. I work for a large health insurance company that's paused hiring in the US and is hiring in Hyderabad. The stated reason is that they want to start selling insurance products to India and want tech-builders familiar with India. The real reason is access to more 'thirsty' tech talent who will work for less. Some of the companies H1Bs are even leaving the US to go to Hyderabad.

Don't know what's the situation like in america. But where I am at, job is a short term thing you have to do not to starve. Usually involves interacting with the most decrepit sociopathic degenerate crowd under supervision and lead of absolute macabre anti-human ghouls.
There physically can be nothing "dream" about it. Just "less nightmare".
Another ~10 or so years, and your job equipment will include garlic, a religious symbol and a wooden stake. Maybe a flamethrower as well.
