Anyone know anything about these people? They seem to be expanding their influence. They've started up a chapter in Austin and other places as well as taking full advantage of that school voucher system to set up christian schools as fronts (imago dei in alamogordo by holloman afb for example). Anyone that was ever in will tell you there's nothing suspicious about for profit scam schools by bases but it was almost always reserved for day cares (the ones on bases opened up at around 7 or 8 which was obviously not going to work for a military schedule so there was always one off base that opened up at like 5 that charged exorbitant amounts of money because they knew they were going to get it as a result of that) or some "university of maryland online university college" bullshit money making scheme since the only reason anyone ever went to one of them was because having a degree or some sort automatically gave you a few bonus points on your enlisted performance reports. K-12 though is something new though and I can guarantee there's a pipeline back to that cult in redding somehow.

I was stationed out in california with members of this place and I'm seeing familiar faces amongst the staff at that place who are still active member of that cult. Anyone who knows even a slight amount bethel knows that that place becomes the sum total of their existence (since it's a cult and you know, that's what cults do). And having something like that next to an extreme glowie base like holloman is an even bigger problem.

Bethel is mecca to many contemporary Christians that believe they can escape the drama of the non-denominational community they are apart of. Is your church inspirational? There's is more inspirational. Is the congregation loving? Not as loving as Bethel. Is the band good? I love my church band, but...
Never been inside, I've only met a few Bethel Christians and they seemed great.

He's talking out of his ass. Bethel means "house of God". It's where Abram pitched his tent, where Jacob in a vision saw angels ascending and descending on ladders from heaven in and out the Holy Land. It was always considered a holy place.

Nondenomdedumduderp. So, it will be like this why we don't do it like tradition which you get to learn in Bible study, that's if they mention tradition at all. You'd be better off using a search engine to ask about the Bethel's beliefs on things like the Trinity, sacraments, end times, etc...

They are basically a Pentecostal/charismatic offshoot who does wacky stuff like try to bring dead people back to life and suck the righteousness out of the graves of dead people and shit like that.
Definitely weird and culty and scammy, but not mass suicide or human sacrifice tier. Not even as sketchy as those weird Twelve Tribes cult who run the Yellow Delis.

Painful. And sad how many are tricked by this semblance of godly devotion with no power

Wrong. You will be made an example of faith healing if your life is in danger.

It's a Scientologist type of cult in which you pay money to receive "secret anointing" from the pastors.
