It wasn't just over Nuremberg. Same thing happened over Basel around the same time. It just got more attention because it was the only one with a full report on it at time were there wasn't really journalism. Bob Lazaar said that some of the aircraft they have are archeological findings. If that's true it was probably wreckage from whatever happened at that time I think and would also explain some stuff about nazi researchs.

i cant get this out of my head since a few days
watched a codumentary sometime ago where they showed a former nazi black project site where the reich tested nuclear reactor technology, they even showed the radiation increase with a geiger counter in that documentary, what was visible next to some bunker ruins was a massive concrete plate which was alleged to be the top of the reactor site which was hastily poured and filled with concrete, it was in the middle of a meadow
i doubt they did research on nuremberg and basel but its not impossible
if they found anything it probably got hidden like the reichsgold
and if it was discovered after whoever got it disappeared it or sold it to the black market like the nebra disc
