I'm diagnosed schizotypal I believe my real issue though was injuries (shoulder, hip, and nose), sleep deprivation, not having proper food, etc. all these compounding things that result in bouts of hallucinations and disorientation.

I think if my breathing alone gets fixed and I can sleep proper the rest of my issues will just go away.

I’ve been in and out of mental institutions most of my adult life, and I can confirm that schizophrenia is indeed real. It can have many different causes and presentations, though, so think of it more as a category than one particular disorder.

It's not a disease. It's essentially the dark counterpart to high IQ. The brains of very intelligent people have larger neurons with thicker dendrites which can connect better with other neurons. The brains of schizos work similarly except instead useful connections that allow them to do more complicated math or chemistry or whatever, their neuron connections are more random. This is why our species hasn't evolved an average IQ of 200. The easier the neurons in your brain can form new connections, the more likely you are to develop some sort of mental illness.

It's real. It's like random voices that are louder than your normal voice and they sound like real people.

I think I may have had a schizophrenic episode one night when I was a child. I can't describe it but seeing a depiction of what it allegedly looks like to poeple it reminded me of it. I would imagine it's like quiet voices yelling. I remember I felt like I was in the middle of sleep and being awake but I was up walking around. I was talking to my mom and dad as it was happenning, I'd awaken and it was freaking me out but I couldn't describe it, it's hard to describe, it's not screaming scared, it's like being taken on a trip. I kept seeing in my mind what was like a 2d flash game animation of these little people that almost looked like that stupid youtube add with the little getting eaten by women. It looked gritty, and they were rolling a large wheel that looked like a grinding wheel over hills, I kept seeing it for some reason. I didn't feel fully myself, like that feeling when you are trying to wake out of sleep paralysis. Closest thing I've ever had since were a couple of times I was tired and I was responding to things my mom and sister were saying that had no relation to what was bieng said, either upon waking up or falling asleep. Then sleep paralysis. Anyways, hope that never happens again, God forbid. I didn't like it. Must have been a psychotic episode. Demonic maybe.

My best understanding so far has been shaped by the likes of Cygnus Key (postulations about Autism, Synesthesia, Schizophrenia, anomalous levels of concentration, self-isolation, etc. and how the Denisovans were possibly responsible for both creating Civilization and Autism... at the same time) by Andrew Collins and Julian Jaynes' Origin of Consciousness. There's obviously a bit more to it and you wouldn't really know how to ascertain or apply the deep occult knowledge or its intersection with mythology that's necessary and why this matters in a conversation about Consciousness (drugs, anon, it's drugs), but it matters and profusely.
If you want to understand specifically what Schizophrenia is, how everyone interacts with it and why we're at the point we're at, you want to watch Westworld (a good alternative for newfags who don't read books). It depicts emerging Consciousness' confusion with "Schizophrenia".
