Crimea
I'm not that invested in either side but are the formerly-Ukranian citizens of Crimea (and other Russian-annexed territories) worse or better off under Russian rule?

Crimeans say the peninsula was in shambles under the Ukrainian rule, and everything changed after Russia came because Russia invests tons of shekels in it. It gets more money than Chechnya and Saint Petersburg.

Urinians enforce their shitty language on everyone. If crimea stayed in the Pigteich, all the inhabitants would have been forced to speak the hohlooink.

Actually, the US declaration of independence happened 9 years prior to Crimea being incorporated into Muscovy

They are Russians though primarily. Crimea was literally given to the Ukrainian SSR by Kruschev in the 50's. Also Ukraine never existed historically either but that's another story with profound implications for everything.

Crimea historically isn't Russian or Ukrainian. It's had many rulers over the years. It was Greek influenced in antiquity on the coasts, but ruled by steppe nomads in the interior. Then mongols. Then muslim (Khanate and Ottomans) for hundreds. The muslims were bastards as muslims tend to be and ran a slave trade from it, capturing slavic slaves inland and selling them muslims and meds. Then it was annexed by Russia (Muscovy) but still had a muslim population. They were deported during and after WW2 and Russians moved in. Ukraine as a population and a culture has existed for a long time, since ancient Rus, although they tend to be under the rule of outside powers frequently.

It's Russian historically anon. It was even part of Kievan Rus (including Sevastopol) in like the 900's. In fact it's historically important to all east Slavs because they all have the same history and this particular episode is part of that. If you really want to get into the history of it, long ago it was inhabited by the Scythians, the same people eastern slavs also assimilated, was part of the Byzantine empire later and was Christian long before any mudslim ever set foot in there, that was a result of the mongol invasion and it's aftermath.

Better. Under Ukraine it was a shithole with the only thing of importance being that Russia wants it.
Under Russia it became a major tourist center. The whole of Ukraine was literally built to serve the rest of the Soviet Union, whether it's tourism or industry. Without Russia it's just fields and abandoned infrastructure

No they don’t say that if you ask people they say it was become more expensive when Russia came and there are a lot of fsb and military presence way more then before. Some say when Russia came they appropriated many Ukrainians businesses as well

Crimea was always Russia's, and full of predominantly ethnic and Russian speaking populace, it was only loaned for use to Ukraine by the Trotskyist traitor, Kruschev, who was formally ousted for his policy performance sucking so hard, his habitual lying/revisionist history, which largely lead to the Sino-Soviet split.
