To be fair, I understand the sentiment. A lot of protestants online like to post comments that are just a dozen unrelated, single-line quotes from Holy Scripture as if they are an argument and prove his own individual tapestry of interpretations they choose to believe. What protestants fail to realize is that the Scripture they think is "plainly clear" is really just their own interpretation of it, and the person they are talking with is going to have a completely different takeaway of the dozen random out of context quotes. This is why the Orthodox say that Protestants have just made every single person their own Pope.
