Jeet is given a job and an H1B visa, but that's not valid forever. It needs to be renewed every once in a while but it can be for at most 7 years unless the company files a PERM application claiming they cannot find any qualified Americans to fill in the role like this specific jeet could. As a part of the PERM application process, the company has to demonstrate they tried to hire an American but no Americans were interested or qualified.
