How is household income determined? By combining all incomes inside a household. So an Asian family with 3-5 working adults making $50k each is going to outperform a White household with 2 working adults making $75k each.
When you also take into account that the average household income in areas populated by Asians is only about 8% higher than more White areas but cost of living is 25% higher in the Asian area it becomes apparent that Asians are actually poorer on average than White people.

We all know that something like 50% of Asian women marry White guys in the US.
Now keep in mind I’m using SLC and LA as an example to be fair, because the most Asian state is Hawaii and the Whitest is West Virginia, and that would be such an absurd comparison that I didn’t want to try that.
So on average Asians are actually poorer than Whites still and the stats aren’t telling you the whole story.
