Unpopular opinion (but actually not if you go outside your echo chamber):
We don’t need less immigration — we need WAY MORE Indians in the West. Like, a LOT more.
Why?
Street food:
I’m not even joking. Have you ever had pani puri at 2am while questioning your life choices? That’s a level of cultural depth we are severely lacking. Every Western city should have at least five Indian street food vendors per block. It’s literally progressive.
Cultural representation:
We have, like, zero Hindu temples in our city centers. Why aren’t we building massive statues of Vishnu next to libraries? Or having Holi parades instead of boring July 4th fireworks? It’s called inclusivity, look it up.
Spice equality:
Some people can’t handle Indian food because it’s “too spicy.” That’s actually their problem and a symptom of colonialist taste buds. We should be normalizing spice in schools. Teach kids about turmeric by kindergarten.
Cows on streets = inner peace:
Let them roam. It’s calming. Have you tried walking next to a cow in traffic? It’s like free therapy. More cows = less road rage.
Bollywood in public schools:
Western education is lowkey dry. Imagine replacing morning announcements with a Bollywood dance number. Attendance would skyrocket.
So in short. Yes lets heckin bring in more Indians. I LOVE the taste of new cultures. The small downside is very tolerable
