Finland being in nato is largely irrelevant. We were basically a defacto member even over some other members before that trough EU and diplomatic partnerships. Like it's much more likely that if Russia invaded Finland pre nato that we would actually get help over say Syria/Iraq invading Turkey (which they are actively doing funded by americans) getting help from americans despite being a nato member. Further more being in nato doesn't actually give us any higher level of defense than before simply because the incentives and geographical challenges do not change. We don't have the population to mount an invasion of Russia, the terrain isn't favorable to attacks and any actual attack (even by imaginary american reinforcements) can easily be stopped by nuking a few ports and the single rail hub that connects us to any meaningful supply link trough Norway. Sweden is going to cuck out the second anyone starts shooting in Nato and will absolutely refuse to help beyond pointless thoughts and prayers and 2 grippens that are to be used for training exclusively. Americans won't actually want to get nuked over Helsinki either so even in a weird scenario where Finland gets invaded without a vastly escalated global conflict already in place, chances are high that we would still get merely thoughts and prayers.
This is the same reason why baltics are in nato, they are functionally irrelevant and would get invaded or disabled the second they actually pose threats. The same isn't true for Ukraine which had significant population and was being armed by nato to fight russia and it has much better geography for invasion and much more land to fight in.
