Not likely. Trump’s grip over his electorate is powerful but slipping and even at his most powerful it’s unlikely he would’ve been powerful enough to simply play kingmaker with anyone he wanted. JD Vance doesn’t have any of the attributes that made Trump (or any other President for that matter) electable in the first place. For this reason, he is unlikely to become the President of the United States. But the right would be smart to look at JD Vance as a sort of archetype, the politician (or revolutionary) with roots in flyover America that will always be sympathetic to the cause and bold enough to see it through.
