>politics is only going to get more extreme from here, that means less tolerance for pseudo-nationalists like Vance.
The Overton window has shifted so far that most important political conflict in the foreseeable future won't be between what we think of as Left or the Right or Democrats vs Republicans.
The Democratic party has collapsed and is close to becoming a third party equivalent with just slightly more influence and relevance than the Greens or Lolbertarians.
People don't realize what has happened, because everyone has only known the Democrat vs Republican paradigm for their entire lives. Even with internal coalitions changing with the Southern Strategy and all of that, it was still always Dem vs GOP.
Most people aren't going to truly understand what has happened until Vance/Rubio win in a ridiculous landslide in 2028 and the GOP has a supermajority in Congress.
The way our political system is set up, this will cause a huge shift in the dividing line between the two dominant parties.
The System forces the two biggest coalitions to coalesce around positions that will give them ~50.1% of voters. And those positions have shifted bigly over the last few years.
It will now be about MAGA normie moderate civnat conservatism vs far right strongly America first (White) nationalism.
The debates will be over things like "Yeah we should have secure borders and round up and deport illegals, but still allow some immigration and worker visas" vs "Zero legal immigration or visas (except for based Whites), revoke citizenship for anchor babies and deport them, and shoot illegals on site."
