Decades ago like 30-40 years they thought they were fucking smart. They did a wave of arrests taking out the big drug kingpins in the city. Like half a dozen or so. Turns out organized crime supresses random crime. Since then its been worse. Instead of a handful of bosses keeping shit organized there have been hundreds of assholes shooting it out for the 3 block area against the next guys 3 bock area. Also Im pretty sure its some kind of silent policy to let the youths kill each other in order to reduce crime. The constant availablity of glock switches that like they were machined pretty well makes me very suspicious. This also leads to more random death because drive bys are now two groids hanging out the side of a car with their switches on spraying and praying they hit what they are aiming for. Thats basically the story of every 5 year old that gets shot.

I should also add this is why dems will die on the hill of abortions. It suppresses their minorities in the cities they run. When abortion was brought in the crime rate dropped because the density of the youths was reduced.
