if you actually read the gnostic gospels themselves (which you can just buy from a bookstore or online easily) you realise how retarded and unserious fanfiction-tier slop the gnostic writings are and why they were excluded from the canon. For example in the gospel of Judas it has it where Judas is the super secret special disciple who, when Jesus asks his disciples if any of them know who he really is, Judas goes "I know who you are master! :D you're from Barbelo blah blah blah" and rattles off exposition about the retarded gnostic lore in a really forced OOC manner that he couldn't possibly know about. Then there's the secret gospel of John which is just pages and pages going on about some bizarre elaborate metaphor about the bridal chamber and John is apparently really really obsessed with marriage for no apparent reason. The gnostic lore itself involving Sophia and the heavenly realms and the demiurge is also contradictory and nonsensical across different documents and also it's really obviously just copied from Kabbalism which is some jewish mysticism bullshit made-up after the second temple period post-Jesus such as Seth and Adam's sons being lesser deities before the world was formed and other such nonsense. The whole thing is stupid as fuck and nothing like the 4chan meme version that's just the matrix but with an evil lion snake god instead of robots.
