China doesn't allow foreigners at their elite universities
China doesn't allow foreigners to own property.
China doesn't allow foreign businesses to set up shop in China without heavy handed CCP bureaucracy.

So it should be the same for Chinese in the US.

US colleges like foreign students because foreign students aren't eligible for student aid and they have to pay the full price upfront.
