It's a fucking shithole. I wouldn't wish my enemies to live here. Gipsy crime is like 3x of migrant crime of the west. Economy and law enforcement are non existence. You either live or pay taxes there is no middle ground.

1. Hungary has "alright" relations with russia (and chinks) since the country relies on russian energy and basically acted as a gateway into europe for both eastern powers.
2. Hungary had hobnobbed, and is hobnobbing trump for a while now. Hungarian and american policy (on the surface) is aligned with "conservatism".
3. Hungarian government's relationship with israel. Remember the pagers? They were assembled here all thanks to some succubi mossad plant. Ergo, if they want a piece of the pie, or to spy on the deal, it's prime real estate.
4.Next door neighbour to ukraine, so even with potential racial and cultural dislike between hungarians and ukrainians, they dont have to go far.

All in all, you are misinterpreting why hungary was chosen as location. It's not due to how important it is. It is due to how much it has been prostituted out to external forces by the "current" government.

Well I'm not expert but...
1. It shares a border with Ukraine and is relatively close to Russia
2. It's probably pretty neutral and not spastic like Poland
3. Why not Hungry. You were thinking maybe Germany? Russia probably wouldn't agree to that and it's Russia that has the upper hand between them and Ukraine.
