Newsom is bullshitting as if they wouldn't have gerrymandered CA to have fewer Republican seats no matter what Texas did. It's just SOP for both parties. Democrats are just way better at bitching and whining about it. Both because they're naturally better at bitching, and because they have more experience running media narratives.

All this sound and fury about gerrymandering is obfuscating the real pernicious strategy that one side (and ONLY one side) has been using to subvert the system, which is Democrats and Open Society NGOs flooding blue states with illegal immigrants in order to boost population counts to gain seats in the house and electoral college votes, the same way that slave states did under the 3/5ths compromise before the Civil War.

Once they have enough clout, the plan is to disband the senate and pack the Supreme Court to establish a full one-party rule where they'd have a clear path to permanent, totalitarian control over the country.
