Because women have the right to vote and have enough basic understanding of supply/demand market economics to realize that legal prostitution would cause them to lose power over men.

Literally was talking about this with my buddy the other day. He got back from Amsterdam and said dating apps sucked over there. After he made some friends with a few locals over the girls in their group explained no one really uses dating apps there, women just expect guys will get hookups from the prostitutes. Wild.
