The exportation of culture has been a key part of the American Empire and all successful empires since the dawn of language but Hollywood is losing its influence not only outside its borders but within its own historical sphere of influence.

Look to outside its borders to China and the number one movie of the year is about a dragon or something and not a single hollywood executive played in part in its production. The movie theaters are decaying and dying, the summer blockbuster has been dead so long now that it is a fossil.

This void has been filled with anime mostly for the younger generations which is why a show about a girl and a talking vending machine has better ratings than a billion dollar production on Apple TV.

I've seen more gender bender, BL, yuri, and cross dressing in anime than any single piece of US media. I have no idea where this tranny stuff came from I don't care about Magnus Hirschel or Weimar because as far as the average person is concerned trannies/woke didn't exist prior to like 2016. Even early gamergate didn't talk about troons it was always 'feminists' then later these people suddenly came out of nowhere and became the center of the narrative. I've literally never organically been exposed to tranny or fag media outside of right-wing circles to this day I can't name a single piece of 'woke' media I've organically encountered and I used to watch a lot of television in the 2000s (I stopped in the 2010s but so did everyone else because of smart phones).

And it's not about 'the average person' it's about soft power, media went woke and gay because they were told to, simple as. Now it appears a large amount of that is defunded and the culture creator anoraks have been told to take it in a new direction because the US needs a popular INTERNAL narrative even before we can worry about soft power again.

TV and music combined have less attention than video games alone, you had big name television producers looking at Youtube viewership with utter envy in complete awe that their best ratings ever couldn't even measure up to cat videos. It's everywhere, it was a whole government program. Girlboss Star Wars, black Little Mermaid, a hundred other things. It's not just out there, it's the dominant type of media these days.

Regardless, soft power was used for evil so it's better to just not have it at all than to use it to harm people. That's where we're at now.

Because I've literally seen none of it organically, it's always without exception third-hand complaining about some movie with shit ratings. The last movie I saw was Grand Piano, it was a big production, there wasn't anything woke in it. I have friends still into movies and sometimes I watch with them, still never seen it. My parents binge watch Netflix and they don't even know what a tranny is.

No the shitty isekai anime in the OP isn’t that good but Asian media is clearly bigger for young and even people in their 30’s now. Originally stuff like Pokémon and a small few shounen anime could have a pretty good following in the west but now it’s all of that on top of other genres of anime, manga, gacha games (JP, CN, KR), kpop, VNs and LNs are more niche still but people know of their existence to extent now, even normalfags ape the existence of anime girls even if they aren’t weebs.
