It's extremely anti-nazi propogandic in a not at all subtle way.
>The nazis are the shapeshifting human eating lizard alien invaders
>The humans are the jews.
That's it, that's the entire premise, and it's so subversive in that, because obviously that's not true to what happened, but the parallels to holocaust media are so tight that they have a anne franke body horror subplot where a visibly jewish teen girl gets an alien (nazi) baby, they have to abort it because it's an evvilll alien and when she doesn't want to she eventually must realize that it is super evvvillllllll and then queue the alien abortion on a teen girl scene that just shouldn't have been on television afterwards she rightly hates the evil evil nazis ... I mean aliens.
The story is so hackneyed that I think Green Wave did "Nazis bad" better.
I usually like 80s scifi but this was almost impossible to watch at some point because they have to do so many logical backflips to justify assigning all the bad to the nazis, I mean aliens and all the good to the jews, I mean humans. It's literally a holocaust fanfiction, culminating in an underwhelming finale of like a handful of people sneak into a plant with some small guns and somehow all the aliens with all their technology and giant starships and weapons die. Even putting aside the holocaust propoganda it is awful. So why was it even watched at all? Drama, it's a hackneyed drama show, that's it, the special effects and ship designs are pretty nice too.
3/10 not the worst nazi scifi I've ever seen
