Do you not get it?
AI as a concept is extremely deflationary. So deflationary that they will have to print trillions of dollars to increase inflation. I can't think of a better moment to make decent bucks.

It can't be deflationary because it doesn't shrink the supply of money in the economy.
If it requires money printing (nothing requires it) it is inflationary.

Deflation (falling price levels) can result either from monetary contraction or from real-side productivity shocks. So, even if money supply stays constant or rises, if supply of goods/services grows faster than demand, the average price level can decline. AI could trigger exactly that.

>AI as a concept is extremely deflationary.

it will send electric bills sky high while at the same time getting lots of people fired with no prospect of a new job.

It's overall very bad news.

"ai art is real art"
the falsity of this is shown easily: name ONE famous AI art. A film, painting, music, whatever, literally any ai art famous for actually being good.
AI is just the trendy buzzword of the day. In ten years the biggest effect is everybody who graduated after 2023 is suspected of using nothing but GPT

Aren't colleges already coming up with ways to deal with this? i'm not a 100% a luddite, but i genuinely believe that relying on AI all the time will just make you dumber

>every art form must have at least one famous example
false premise. also ai art has only been around for a few years. there was an ai artwork that won some art competition. but more importantly, there's plenty of ai generated content that i personally enjoy. i don't care if it's famous or if anyone else enjoys it.

i constantly use ai to write basic python scripts to automate repetitive processes. you're welcome.

wow, the cost of writing basic python scripts must just have DEFLATED. actually no one cares.

AI will eliminate the middle class.
Right now, not in the future, you don't need hundreds of coders to create software, you just need one or two who will prompt the AI and review the outputted code.

Deflation means a deflation of the money supply which would cause a general fall in prices.
The entire goal of technology is to make goods cheaper so AI would be a good thing in this case.

but there's nothing
no popular or renowned film / game / novel AT ALL

p.s. python lol, i used to be judgemental about python coders but now I see I should've been even more judgmental because python scriptkiddies are the same type as the AI-bros
(i use AI, but not much. It just gets too much wrong.)

Hmmm so your premise is that the cost savings from white collar automation will be transferred to the consumer? Seems unlikely. Also most money is spent on physical goods/blue collar stuff, so it would only affect these tertiary markets
