Less is more, except for kikes, jeets, niggers and spics. Then none is all.

Logo simplification has hit pretty much every single brand in existence and it has nothing to do with beauty. It's just that a bunch of behavioral science shows that simple logos are more memorable and easy to recognize

Pretty decent engagement bait all things considered. Completely irrelevant, time wasting, and something people can instantly form an opinion about.
What is it about human psychology that makes a person want to answer a question? Was it the Prussian school system?

Branding and marketing professional here. Make way, make way.

No.

This has much more to do with:
1. Expanded use of branding on electric signage, textiles, pens, 32px icons and printing substrates.
2. The perception among marketers that brand must be uniform everywhere. And repeated often.
3. The reality that brandmarks get cycled at a regular cadence and, therefore, ought to be made simple for your next rebranding effort to incorporate.

It's just commoditization and standardization of branding. Nothing more.
