It’s quite obvious that acculturation is not explicitly racial. The question is how many generations an immigrant has to be in America and go to American schools live in American communities and grow up same as any American until they become American. To date, only other Westerners accomplished it in a generation.

The problem though is quite obviously that these people are actually not made to grow up same as any American but grow up in foreigner enclaves within America. They don’t grow up American. They grow up Indian in America. That’s the issue.

In reality, culture is racial only by proxy. It’s not explicitly racial. A brown-skinned person growing up in America can indeed be American. But the issue is that doesn’t mean they will be. In fact, given the history of African-Americans and mass immigration they almost won’t be. Why? Because they don’t go come to America and go to the same schools the Americans with German ancestors and Dutch ancestors do. They don’t live in their neighborhoods. They don’t speak their language. That's not really the case with Indians like it is with some of the other kinds of foreigners. Many of them own hotels or practice medicine in small towns that are otherwise all-white, or live in technology meccas or university towns where there are lots of whites but no race dominates.
