Step 2: Ban non-citizens from owning property in America (this is already the policy in most of the rest of the world, so we should adopt it here as well)
Step 3: Add an additional property tax for each home/unit a person owns. Maybe have a generous limit where one person can own like 3 houses before getting additionally taxed. No more of this bullshit where one landlord owns 200 houses, though. That level of greed is detrimental to society.

Doing all of this would immediately solve the housing crisis, but it will never happen because it would make landlords and boomer bag holders upset. So everyone else in society has to continue to suffer
