Tasers are a 50/50 shot at best. I honestly think they fail more than they connect. Summertime in Florida, they're mostly effective. Anywhere you're wearing a sweater or more, it's very unlikely to make a good connection.

Ours generally only do that when they want to fight. It's a good move so there's not shirt to grab on to. I will say that there are occasions that the taser does perform a miracle through clothing with really good results.
