There are plenty of jobs, you are just wasting your time applying to online job listings from MegaCorporations.
Instead of applying to be a cashier at McDonalds, go to a local bar or restaurant (some time when they aren't too busy) find the manager or whoever is in charge, and tell them that you are looking for work. If you don't have any experience, you'll probably end up bussing or doing prep work in the kitchen to replace the last retard who kept no-showing and got fired. You won't get paid much, but that's the nature of entry level. But if you show that you are reliable and responsible and a hard worker and don't constantly fuck shit up or need your hand held to do everything, it won't be long before you get offered better positions.
>REEEE you are boomer! bootstraps and handshakes!
I am a millennial who has spent lots of time in the service industry and knows how things work. Your local mom and pop restaurant is constantly having to hire new workers to replace the idiot workers they lose because of DUIs and baby momma drama and every kind of retard shit imaginable.
And your local mom and pop restaurant probably barely even has a functional webpage, much less some kind of online HR job opening portal that they are updating every time some dumbass fuckup gets fired.
