This is how I’m compelled to feel towards a lot of good or popular media I like.
Especially in the music industry, there’s gonna be a lot of guys in there who’ll strongly disagree with people like me, yet I can still like their works…
I gotta admit, in a strange way, it almost hurt to see some of the ones I love go total obedient-slave during the COVID pandemic (with lockdowns, masking and vaccine mandates or urging).
We have guys like Eric Clapton who came out against the Covid vax mandates, also Van Morrison who was against the lockdowns and made a song about it called “Stand and Deliver”, so that’s pretty cool though.
Anyway, I’d become an even weirder and more shut-in bitter recluse if I shut out all media or art from people I disagree with in anyway.
Ironically RATM isn’t really even part of that for me because I never really got into them. But I’ll give them a few songs being pretty fun, from what little I heard of them.
