Communism is the only thing that ever scares the richfags enough to make any sort of concessions to the poors. It's why they propagandize so hard against it and demonize it any chance they get. When times are good the grubby peasants are willing to believe them, but as wealth inequality becomes a growing reality for more people all those words don't do much to make you not hungry and destitute. Communism is not so much an ideology as it is a natural reaction to the overreach of the rich. Sometimes it gets derailed by fascism/nazism but even then if fascism can't deliver prosperity it also eventually gives way to socialism.

In both Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy concessions had to be made to the poor and middle class to keep the game going. Whether that meant state intervention or nationalization or laws handed down by the dictator, something inevitably has to give.

Capitalists have this notion that the public is a bottomless well that they can squeeze for infinitely more money, but eventually you can only charge people so much money before they just straight up don't have any more. At which point they ask why they are working so hard for essentially nothing.
