CS degree
>Avid coder my entire life, hacked websites, made fan games, html websites, calculator programs, etc.
>Willing to learn any coding language
>Graduate highschool after "just learn to code" bubble popped and AI took over
>Same <80iq retards I avoided in highschool are now telling me they're also taking CS
>Realize I'm taking a degree that is extremely oversaturated despite me being one of the few who actually give a shit about the content
What's the point? The CS degree is oversaturated and companies would rather outsource with jeets or AI than take the billions of new potential workers who would literally die for the Holy Grail that is a predictable office job

I heard the trades are oversaturated too at this point. Is it over for college students?

should have been grinding leetcode instead of learning how to fingerpaint when you were 4

Get good? The problem is there are a bunch of know it all talking types around in the software development space and few that just shut up and do the work. The niggers are annoying and get weeded out

>should have been grinding leetcode
It's the start of the school year, I've already gotten high grades in college last year, but I have no motivation to even complete the syllabus quizzes.

I know that it's basically fucking over for me. Leetcode, internships, etc. AI will be so advanced at that point that I'd be better off saving my money than spending it on a degree I'll never use.

No work is needed anymore. AI will do it for you. In fact I'd bet you $100 that most corporate coders used AI within the past week on their projects and assignments.

All that's left for "learning" coding is just to learn how to prompt AI to do it for you. Now it will be grinding how to get AI to make a project with the least "fix this code please" prompts

Here are the 3 jobs that will remain at the end of the world no matter what
>Engineers
>Plumbers
>Teachers

If you're willing to keep going with your CS route, switch over to computer engineering and get a portfolio. More importantly, get a list of connections and "experience". Use jobs.now and stay up to date with trends. Be charming at hr interviews (basically tinder irl).

>But I don't wanna

It's something you're gonna have to do anyways in this job market :). At least you have a chance to course correct.

Would it be worth it to be an electrician? I'm not sure how much education I'd need to get into that sort of thing, could they just hire and teach me on the job?

No shit dumbass, but ai still (and probably forever will) require someone to understand it. Even Copilot / gpt / Claude still fuckes up everything.

Everyone wants 5+ years of experience and 10 references alongside a shit wage for an entry level job now. Boomers hate teaching kids now apparently.

Are you still in school? You should switch to getting a degree in Finance. Knowing how to code is useful.

Yeah, this. The social contract is broken on all sides. There is no magic industry where they treat you like a human being and try to nuture you to go out on your own. So long as you are working for someone else they will view you as a resource to be exploited. They will get as much out of you as they can while giving back as little as they can.

You aren't looking for an employer... you are looking for a father figure and a community. You will not find it where you are looking.

The only way you will ever be treated the way you want is if you are self employed and work with family. The barrier to entry for doing that is significant. Starting capital and training can be difficult. I don't have any easy answers to OP's question, I just know that if you tell yourself "maybe the Jew across the street will treat me better" you are in for a rude awakening.
