A belief that sexual desire is the main sin which leads people down the path of degeneracy and Hell, was dealt with by the idea of Seals - there was the Lesser Seal (women cut off their tits, men cut off their balls), while the Greater Seal had women not only cut off their tits, but also mutilate their vaginal opening, usually using a red hot iron to cauterize and nearly close it (while still being able to pee and menstruate, but it was no longer possible to fuck them, not that anyone would want to), while men cut off both their dick and balls, again using red hot irons to cauterize the wound (as to not die from blood loss, letting there be only a small opening so they could pee).
However, they didn't do it in order to claim they're trannies.
Nowadays, transsexualism preys on the same people cults of ye olde times did. They also willingly undergo self-mutilation, but they aren't even near as hardcore, as they no longer use burning hot irons for that, instead resorting to Frankenstein surgeries. This cult, instead of promising Heaven, promises being able to switch from one sex to another, being no longer based in the idea of celibacy - this kind of eunuchs does it out of and FOR sexual gratification.
