The people you disagree with are for the most part not actually evil or less moral than you, but rather merely fixating on a different aspect of The Good. What they're fixating on *is good*, which is why they're captivated by it; it's the fallible process of translating that into a moral system where they (and you, and everyone) fails, because it's an inescapable tendency of human cognition to be SO captivated by the aspect of The Good that you've seized upon that your proposal for the right ordering of things pays insufficient attention to other (others') aspects of it

I once dallied with the concept of moral relativity until I saw where it leads. Evil must be DESTROYED. When one finds no good companions, but only evil ones, it is better to go alone. I will not rationalize my enemies for them, the only favor I shall give them is the mercy of destruction

Wrong

They need to be crucified along the highways so I am comforted that their wickedness is being addressed when I take my relaxing night drives to no where.

>Evil must be DESTROYED
Yes, but how? Some people are just pieces of shit motivated by evil, but most aren't, and the evil which they advocate for is basically an unintended byproduct of their blindered fixation on the aspect of The Good which they're taken with. For example:
>Hitler being so fixated on the virtue of ethnocentrism that he enables the mass murder of innocents
>Libs being so fixated on the dignity of the individual that they enable the ethnocide of Europeans
>Wahhabists being so fixated on the primacy of God that they conscience the murder of Shiites, Yazidis, children along the Nice promenade, etc.

you judge them by their fruits, not their fixation

and, I think you're wrong. They have a conscience that tells them they're wrong. They know they're wrong, their hearts are hard, they don't care, they do it anyway because they are selfish to a fault, and that makes them bad.

I think everyone has a tendency to harden their hearts against the evil outcomes their proposals / systems produce because they think of it as a necessary sacrifice in service of the greater good

I am not "awful in every regard". It is indeed absurd to reduce 1.5 billion people to being all evil

no, that's not what it means. hardening their heart means they know it's wrong, they feel it's wrong, but they do it anyway. they don't feel enough.

there is an overarching morality that is above whatever their partisan interest/goal is, and those who violate that overarching morality are by definition bad, and they know it.

or to put it another way, if the outcome is "evil", as you describe, they that makes them bad. and it is also true that people are sometimes wrong about what goals they should pursue. but that is not a simple confusion, it also makes them bad. and their conscience would also tell them this, but people get so twisted up in identity and recrimination these days, and love has suffered due to all the violating, that people are too cold-hearted or hard hearted to care about the actual greater good.

this is speaking of adults, btw. children can be excused their immature understanding/development

it's the "if you're not a liberal at 20 and a conservative by 30" idea.

women, in particular, are foolish and motivated by bad things. it's in their nature, which is why women have always been subordinated in healthy societies. feminism is wicked because it allows women to pursue what they should not pursue. and even in their foolishness, still, yes, many of them do know better, they just don't give a shit
