Had to move out of Australia because the Government are a pack of hyper-authoritarian no fun allowed paternalistic giga-cunts who destroyed my buddies and ours nightlife business.
This is really the issue with Australia, it's politicians are all hyper-paternalistic strict school teacher types who think all Australian adults have the brains and mentalities of edgy 13 year old teenagers. This leads to massive Government paternalist campaigns, massive media paternalist campaigns, which instills a sense of extreme safety fetishism and ingroup snitching among Aussies which leads to people basically demanding the Government do something, when they stub their toe which results in a feedback loop where EVERYTHING is banned.
Fun story, used to do gel balling. Every sunday we would have a match in the local paintball field, which was just over the state border, so one day I sleep in can't be bothered to go, then I read on normiebook later in the day that AFP and state police were there, and literally got everyone for "trafficking automatic firearms over state borders"... gel ball blasters, literal fucking NERF guns. All my gell ball friends were dragged to courts on firearm offenses.
On top of this, Australians are just largely uncultured, cliquey assholes so it makes largely trying to talk to people, about anything that isn't fucking NRL or Cricket, basically socializing on hard mode.

The worst part of rural australia is everyone out there is basically one drink away from being a completely psychotic cunt. Lived in Moura (QLD) as a kid and fucking hell the shit i've seen once people got a single 4X in them.
