You bitch about gun laws in California or Europe, but you have no idea what a truly disarmed society looks like. As a native, I'm reporting from the bottom of the rabbit hole. This is the globehomo endgame.
First off, no handguns. No AR-15s.The only things you can even apply for are basic shotguns and hunting rifles. Self-defense is NOT a valid reason.
To get one, you have to attend an all-day government class and pass a written test. Just to get the paperwork started.
Then, you need a doctor to sign off on your mental health. So the state gets to decide if you're "sane" enough to own a weapon.
Then, the cops do a full background check. They don't just check your record. They literally interview your family, your coworkers, and your neighbors. They check your finances, your personal life. Your weird neighbor who hates you could torpedo your chances.
After ALL that, you have to pass a shooting test at the range.
If you make it through, you have to store the gun and the ammo in separate, locked safes, bolted to the wall. The cops come to your house to inspect it.
The license only lasts 3 years. Then you do the whole fucking process again.
And the kicker? If you fire your weapon in a public placeโ€”even if you don't hit anyoneโ€”you can get a life sentence.
This is the future they want for us. A population that's 100% dependent on the state for protection and can't fight back. Japan has almost no gun crime, sure, but they've traded their soul for it.

this works in japan because you have a relatively high trust society with reasonable demographic homogeneity. not to "HI IM MURICA LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT YUOR CUNTRY", but these are objectively true.

the reason gun restrictions don't work in america is because we have a stark inverse of your situation: we have no homogeneity, we have free access right across the border of retard states, and no one trusts one another at all. so you get groids shooting one another over stupid shit, which inflates gun crime stats, which makes it an "issue", so on and so forth. only those willing to break the law are able to get guns, or they legally acquire them in another state and bring them back to their retard state to use in criminal activity.

everything you make at home will be shitty. you can't make reliable ammo casings at home even if its late 19th century technology. primers are the hardest part and while you can reload USED ones, it's not reliable (trust me, I tried)

The first gun I made was about as crude as my 100+ year old pump action .22. I have improved considerably since then.
Barrels are difficult to do well, but brass casings aren't at all difficult. They are, however, much more expensive than just buying a bag of premade ones.
If you can't get the annealing process down, consider a bigger extractor so you don't just rip off the rim.

every redneck in the country has a reloader. they've been even easier to find and get parts for since democrats had the bright idea of strangling ammo supplies in an elastic market.
japan just doesn't want them. I feel bad for that extreme minority that wants them but I understand why they don't have much influence over the culture or the law.

they still aren't doing shit. the concept of using a gun against the government is inherently flawed, it's one of the gun market agendas to keep the civilian arms race going and sell more guns. 20 of 51 states already have quite tyrannical gun laws that tamper on the law abiding citizens ability to get a gun, but at the same time getting a gun illegally is easy because there's virtually no gun control with 80% lowers

The old fashioned way. Lead based explosive as an initiator. If you really did try and fail, you probably did the "go back in time and grab match heads from old strike anywhere matches that are made differently today" technique. But without going back in time. So you failed.
Cup and anvil are easy to mass produce especially if you're already casting projectiles.

The US dropped Liberator pistols on France during ww2. It was single shot and it took quite some time to reload. Having a concealable weapon like that required occupying troops to at least double up, which cut their force in half. Any attempts in not using the buddy system could end with a dead soldier and one more rifle plus ammo being in the hands of the resistance.

You only need one shot to end up with a good gun.

In Spain, to get a gun license (only valid for hunting or sport shooting), you need, besides passing the exams:
>Pay a one-time fee of 15.000โ‚ฌ
>Pay an annual renewal of the license (2.000โ‚ฌ per year)
>Have a "padrino" (i. e., someone with a gun permit, and belonging to a hunting or shooting club that "approves your aptitude for gun ownership").
>Belonging to a hunting or shooting club (there is no fixed price, but it usually costs around 10,000โ‚ฌ per year)

It's possible to make a percussion cap magazine that slots caps onto the pin with firing, resistive gravity feeding might do if the mag is smooth enough.
Then you use a repeating lever to load the next powder-bullet package from below.
Maybe a repeating lever can double-act, so it loads the cap too.
Shouldn't be too difficult to machine. Reliability may be a concern but a repeating musket beats a musket that doesn't repeat.

buying a crossbow without a license is not even a crime itself. The legal way of buying a crossbow in spain is buying it illegally, then sending it to an armory to get a serial number imprinted on it and then you register it legally in the police station. There's almost zero risk buying a crossbow from an EU country, I have even seen people selling them in Wallapop.

Anon, I am a lawyer and I know what I am talking about. You can't register an illegally purchased gun. Crossbow possession is not a crime fortunately because there is a loophole in the law that our lazy tyrants have not bothered to fix. But it is still an administrative infraction. The only way to legally own a crossbow is with a "type F license", and oddly enough it is even harder to obtain than firearms licenses

I am going to try to explain how I would defend a client in a case like that, but IT IS NOT AN ADVICE:
>Self-defense in Spain requires 3 requirements: proportionality in the means of defense, an illegitimate attack and lack of prior provocation by the defender
>Does that mean that a firearm, in attention to the situation, is never proportionate? I consider that it does not.
>A different matter is that the use of a firearm outside the permitted cases (as long as you have a license) is an administrative infraction. So there would be no homicide offense, but there would be a fine
>And in case you do not have a license, there would not be a homicide crime either, but there would be a crime of illegal possession of firearms.
>Finally, instead of self-defense, you could try to allege "state of necessity", but it would be more complicated

I'm not bullshitting, to have a crossbow legally in Spain you need a hunting license and the crossbow needs a serial number to be registered. No crossbow is sold with a serial number, so you have to buy one without one and sent it to an armory to get a serial number engraved on both the bow and the body of the crossbow. Then you register it legally in the "Intervenciรณn de Armas" in the closest Guardia Civil Police Station. Basically, all you need to do to get a creossbow in Spain is the first step and you can just skip the other ones because no one will bother looking. I have had multiple crossbows delivered to my home using my real name and address. So does my friends.

It's not like people that ban weapons are very smart.

Over here they will typically include a list, specific guns banned by name. For example AR-15 is sort of a generic term for that design, it is what the original company called it, but each company that makes them will have their own middle numbers and trademarks. They will list all of these to cover their bases. They will also include things like the China Lake 40mm pump action grenade launcher.

40mm is already covered by the NFA, a federal law, and the China Lake was an experimental design, they only made 3, and all of them are in museums, but they banned them anyway, just in case. It is kinda funny

mathematically, you'd be better off using that pocket space for an epi pen, a healthy snack, or just some extra ammo.
