Realistically not for awhile, the politicians LARP about uniting the island, but the absolute sinkhole that is Northern Ireland would destroy the Irish Economy for at least 10 years and that's if everything is peaceful. Your also adding 1 million right wing unionist voters into the country that would upset the status quo. It would be interesting to see if the Nationalists still vote Sinn Fein after unification, but many would probably flock to other parties since they now have a choice.
