America has increasingly become communist over the years. The government has its hands in everything including the economy. Don't believe me? Let's look at some hallmarks of communism:
>Centralised Planning
We see it all the time. Economic decisions (what to produce, how much, and so on) are made by government planners rather than market forces. A perfect and well known example is the government paying farmers not to produce certain crops.
>Equal Distribution of Wealth
Reducing "income inequality" by "redistributing wealth" through state mechanisms. Of course, as we know how it typically goes in communist nations, the people in power love "redistributing" wealth, but just to themselves or their friends which we see all the time. Minimum wage is also an easy and notable example blatantly promoted all the time, even in the media. The controlled market is so bad they have to manipulate and force certain wages.
>Suppression of Entrepreneurship
Private enterprise is discouraged or banned. We've seen this constantly, particularly in the alt-right with things like the payment processors targeting whatever it is they don't like. Remember Hatreon? There's countless examples to cite. We're even seeing it right now with video games and the payment processors attacking them.
>Elimination of Profit Motive
Businesses do not operate for profit. Remember the global financial crisis of 2008? The government completely bailed out the banks with the peoples money, and they still got to operate like nothing happened. Perhaps the most publicised example I can think of in recent memory is the Kanye West and Adidas scandal. They both were in a contract worth billions and Adidas cancelled it purely because of politicial ideology. They even admit it and talk about the huge amounts of money lost. That's not even getting into subsidies, special benefits like with tax or loopholes these businesses are receiving and more. Who knows how far this rabbit hole goes.
