If you are thinking you have to be looking at your phone screen for it work you are half right. You have to look at it for long enough and for it to create a pattern of how far away youare from your phone at any given time. But it only needs it once to if it doesnt have the information it can drain your phones battery attempting it it just amplifies the same frequency. But this is most likely not to happen unless you are a target who is considered to spread the incident or a high profile target who doesnt but will spread this.
