not worth it. get the egg perfect first at least. very easyily done with a hot pan a lid and letting the yellow turn the right kind of white. use cracked black pepper, and if you need salt, use hot sauce with a vinegar base instead. sausage can help, but the perfect egg is better than the best gravy already, and so you're better off two eggs before you'll prefer sausage. maybe if you have ham go for ham.

This is the kind of thing I usually do. Bacon or hog jowls or thick cut ham, 2 or 3 eggs over easy, shoestring hash browns, then put on rye or whole grain bread. Cook the meat first to use the grease to cook the rest of it.
